Police Investigate Case Of Student Suicide By Jumping From Graha Pena Makassar

MAKASSAR - The Panakkukang Sector Police are still investigating the alleged suicide of a female student who was carrying out field work practices (PKL) at a company in the Graha Pena building, Makassar, South Sulawesi.

"It is suspected that the victim jumped from the 6th floor, but regarding the motive, we are currently investigating it," said Panakkukang Police Chief Kompol Azis as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 29.

The identity of the victim is known to be RP, a 21-year-old woman, a university student in Toraja Regency.

"This victim carried out street vendors at Graha Pena in one of the 3rd floor offices. The victim's body has been taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for post-mortem," said Kompol Aziz.

The victim suffered a broken bone and his head hit the floor.

The cleaning officer for the Graha Pena Building, Ismail, said that at 06.30 WITA, he was sweeping the parking lot. The witness saw a figure lying on the ground wearing a black jacket, motionless. He then called the security guard to report the incident and reported it to the police.

The police then secured the location of the crime scene (TKP) by installing a police line.

Information obtained by the victim's colleague, RA, admitted that when he checked the money at his ATM on June 22, 2022, it was reduced by Rp. 1 million. He also asked the victim whether the money was taken? Then the victim admitted and promised to return.
