Bankrupt Due To Heart Disease, Kadir Srimulat Sells Soto To Survive
JAKARTA - For a long time not seen as a comedian, Kadir Srimulat revealed that he had a difficult time until he had to sell his assets in the form of his house. Not just one, but three of Kadir's houses have been sold for treatment.
"I have sold my house three times, Mr. Deddy. In 2001 I had a heart attack, blocked a blood vessel, when I entered the hospital, I said I had to put a ring on," said Kadir on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel, quoted on Wednesday, June 29.
Kadir, who always makes people laugh, actually has a sad story for the last five years. He had a heart disease and was unable to work to pay for his medical expenses.
"I resigned. With that, I couldn't work. At that time I was shooting for stripping, I only got 12 episodes, I stopped because I wasn't strong," he continued.
That's the reason Kadir sold his house. "Five years looking for alternatives and not working. Finally what? Selling one house, already. Not until a year out (the money)," he said.
Not only the house, the car that was purchased was almost withdrawn from leasing because the installments were in arrears. "Finally selling another one (house). Then in 2005 2006, the land in Tambun was sold," he continued.
Heart treatment was finally done with the installation of a ring. "I went straight to Harapan Kita, put the ring on. Fortunately, there were still some for sale," he said.
Because he was no longer able to work, Kadir relied on his wife's income from selling soup. "I opened a shop, selling Soto Kudus. I walked but thank God it was enough for my family. I can get another car loan," he said.
Now Kadir is back to health and has started taking jobs again. But he said he was grateful even though his income was not as much as before.
