Determine The Fate Of AKBP Brotoseno, Deputy Chief Of Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono, Officially Leads The PK Commission

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has officially formed a Review Commission (PK) to follow up on the results of the decision of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) AKBP Raden Brotoseno. Later, the Deputy Chief of the National Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono, will be the chairman of the commission.

"It has been ratified by the Head of the National Police, who has appointed as chairman of the trial. Later in the KKEP trial, the AKBP BS will be the Deputy Chief of Police," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday, June 29.

With the appointment of the Deputy Chief of Police as chairman of the Commission, the fate of AKBP Brotoseno will be determined by him.

Then, the PK Commission team consisted of Irwasum Polri Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto, Kadiv Propam Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, As HR Polri Inspector General Wahyu Widada, and Kadivkum Polri Inspector General Remigius Sigid Tri Hardjanto.

Meanwhile, regarding the timing of the PK trial against Brotoseno, Dedi could not provide details. It can only be said that the National Police Chief has ordered it to be carried out as soon as possible or no later than 14 days from the formation of the PK Commission.

"The Chief of Police has also conveyed to the Deputy Chief of Police as soon as possible this trial will be held," he said.

Then, the result of the trial later, continued Dedi, is the absolute decision of the Police against Brotoseno.

"If the Wakapolri's decision is final," said Dedi.

Brotoseno is a member of the National Police with the rank of Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP). He had served in the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

In the course of his career, Brotoseno stumbled upon the corruption case of rice field printing in Ketapang, West Kalimantan.

Based on the results of the trial at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court in decision number 26 of 2017, Raden Brotoseno was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years in prison and a fine of IDR 300 million.

With this decision, Raden Brotoseno has been in detention since 2017. Until finally, he was released on parole since February 2020, and was released purely at the end of September 2020. He was released early because he received a parole program. Raden Brotoseno received a remission of 13 months 25 days.

After his release, Brotoseno returned to duty in the Bhayangkara Corps. Because, he was not fired from the Police institution. Based on the results of the professional ethics trial, Brotoseno was only sentenced to a demotion.
