Seven Witnesses Examined Regarding The Case Of Ustaz Stabbing In Southeast Aceh
JAKARTA - The Southeast Aceh Police until Saturday had examined seven witnesses regarding the alleged stabbing of Ustaz Muhammad Zaid Maulana (37) by a man during a lecture at the Al Husna Mosque in Kandang Mbelang Mandiri Village, Lawe Bulan District, Thursday, October 29.
"There were about five to seven people we asked for information, all of them from mosque administrators," said Head of Southeast Aceh Police AKBP Wanito Eko Sulistyo to Antara, Saturday.
According to him, the examination of a number of witnesses was intended to facilitate the investigation process being carried out by the local police, as well as to dig up the facts in the case.
In this case, the police have arrested a suspected perpetrator with the initials MA (37), a resident of Kandang Mbelang Mandiri Village, Lawe Bulan District, Aceh Tenggara District, Aceh Province for questioning.
However, the alleged perpetrator has so far not provided much information to the police investigating this case.
The Head of Southeast Aceh Police AKBP AKBP Wanito Eko Sulistyo stated that the case would continue to investigate the case until it was completed, in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations.
As reported by an ustaz named Muhammad Zaid Maulana, was attacked by a man while lecturing the Prophet Muhammad SAW's birthday at the Al Husna Mosque, Kandang Mbelang Mandiri Village, Lawe Bulan District, Southeast Aceh Regency, Thursday night.
In this incident, Ustaz Muhammad Adi Maulana suffered a wound on his hand because he was suspected of being hit by a sharp weapon belonging to the perpetrator with the initials MA (37), who attacked the victim while giving a lecture at the mosque.
