Police Are Still Investigating The Breakdown Of The Setiabudi LRT Water Tank
JAKARTA - The police are still investigating a number of witnesses over the incident of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) water reservoir bursting in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta. In that incident five people became victims, one of them was a motorcyclist and one female passenger suffered broken bones.
"There are five victims in the hospital," said Metro Police Chief Setiabudi Kompol Agung Permana when confirmed, Tuesday, June 28.
The same thing was said by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Setiabudi Police, AKP Suparmin. He said a number of victims had been rushed to the Metropolitan Medical Center (MMC) Hospital for medical treatment.
"We took the victim to the hospital," he said.
Regarding the cause, they are still investigating the case. Several witnesses have been examined, in order to find out the true incident of the case.
"We are still investigating this, right, this is just this project, how come it broke, we are still investigating what it was like," he concluded.
Previously, it was reported that the water reservoir for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, had collapsed. As a result, water spills sweep away road users. Two motorcycle users and one project worker were injured.
Setiabudi sub-district head Iswahyudi said the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 28, at 16.20 WIB. Dirina added that the victims had been rushed to the Metropolitan Medical Center (MMC) Hospital for further medical treatment.
"The woman who was riding the (motorcycle) was slightly injured. Her legs, hands were bruised, broken bones," said Iswahyudi when confirmed, Tuesday, June 28.
He has not been able to determine the cause of the LRT project's water reservoir collapse. The police are still investigating the case.
"We are still investigating," he concluded.
