Police Test Ballistic Projectile Shooting Of Used Goods Skipper In Sidoarjo
SURABAYA - Police officers from Sidoarjo, East Java, conducted a ballistic test of projectiles related to the alleged shooting case that happened to a used goods skipper with the initials SB.
Sidoarjo Police Chief Kombes Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro said the police were still investigating the alleged shooting of a resident under the overpass in Tenggulunan Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency.
"In addition to examining witnesses and asking for information from the family, the police have sent a projectile that the medical team took from the victim's left arm to the laboratory for ballistic testing," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 28.
He said that after the results of the ballistic test of the projectile came out, it was only possible to determine the type of caliber and firearm used by the suspect.
"We only got one projectile as evidence," he said.
As for the number of suspects, he said it was still in the process of being investigated. "Hopefully it will be revealed soon, for the motives and suspects," he said.
The victim's condition, he continued, suffered gunshot wounds to the left neck and left arm.
"Until now it is still critical. The victim is still critical and is receiving intensive care at the hospital. Please pray for him to get better soon," he said.
The unfortunate incident happened to the victim with the initials SB on Monday (27/6) night which resulted in the victim having to receive medical treatment at the Sidoarjo Hospital.
At the time of the incident, residents were shocked by the explosion of the weapon used by the alleged perpetrator in his action.
