MAKASSAR - South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah announced a decision on the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for 2021. UMP for South Sulawesi increased by 2 percent to IDR 3,165,000 with effect on January 1, 2021.
"So I determined by Decree Number: 1415 / X / 2020 dated 27 October 2020, concerning the Determination of the UMP for South Sulawesi in 2021 amounting to Rp. 3,165,000," said Nurdin Abdullah at a press conference at the office of the governor of South Sulawesi, Jalan Sungai Tangka, Makassar. , Saturday, October 31st night.
The announcement of the 2021 UMP was conveyed by Prof. NA - Nurdin greeting - accompanied by the Head of the South Sulawesi Manpower Office Darmawan Bintang and the regional Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) South Sulawesi and the chairman of the labor union.
Previously, the 2020 UMP in South Sulawesi was IDR 3,103,800. This means that there is an increase of Rp. 61,200 in the 2021 UMP.
Nurdin said that the increase in the UMP for South Sulawesi was based on Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. And in accordance with the wage calculation formula based on Government Regulation No. 78/2015 concerning Wages.
"That the determination of the UMP is carried out every year based on economic needs, based on a decent life and paying attention to economic productivity," he said.
Prof. NA said that his party was following up on the circular letter of the Minister of Manpower Number BM / 11 / HK.04 / X / 2020 dated October 26, regarding the determination of the UMP in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
