KSP: Jokowi's And G7 Leaders' Friendship Gives Fresh Air For World Peace
JAKARTA - The Office of the Presidential Staff (KSP) assesses President Joko Widodo's intimacy with world leaders at the G7 Summit, showing the acquisition of sincere acceptance and trust, especially from United States President Joe Biden as a symbol of western power.
"Of course, the friendly and warm meeting raises optimism for the success of President Jokowi's mission to Ukraine and Russia", said Main Expert Staff of the Presidential Staff Office, Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin, in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 28, quoted from Antara.
Ruhaini explained that the main mission that President Jokowi brought to Ukraine and Russia was to encourage the cessation of war and invite the two countries to sit together in peace negotiations. This is to reduce the impact of the conflict, especially related to the incidence of casualties and refugee problems.
In addition, peace talks are also aimed at preventing the world from food and energy crises caused by long-term military conflicts.
According to her, the warm welcome of world leaders at the G7 summit will strengthen President Jokowi's mission and pave the way for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to achieve permanent peace.

In addition, the intimacy between the President and world leaders will be the right momentum for Indonesia as G20 President to promote the G20 Summit in November 2022 so that it can be a much stronger joint recovery effort.
"President Jokowi made the Indonesian G20 Presidency optimize the modalities and role of Indonesia in world peace", she said.
Because of that, said Ruhaini, President Jokowi has always shown a strong commitment to maintaining world peace as mandated by the constitution of the 1945 Constitution and also maintaining his legacy as the initiator of the Non-Aligned Movement which advocates independence, opposes apartheid, and does not side with any military pact.
"In addition, the modalities of a free and active foreign policy allow Indonesia to be friendly with any country in maintaining world order, including Russia and Ukraine", said Ruhaini.
This Professor of Human Rights and Gender at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta also assessed that Russian President Vladimir Putin's acceptance of President Jokowi's visit showed that Indonesia played the role of a true friend who did not hesitate to reprimand friends for a greater good.
"Although Indonesia has also stated that Russia's military attack on Ukraine is unacceptable, President Putin still welcomes President Jokowi's visit", said Ruhaini.
"We all hope that the President's mission can ease the war and the two countries can continue efforts for a more permanent peace", Ruhaini added.
