7 Players Will Be Expelled From The Indonesian U-19 National Team Qualifying For The U-20 Asian Cup 2023

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong will repatriate seven names from the U-19 Indonesian national team squad at the end of July. Right now, he wanted to see the player's overall abilities before making a decision.

The 2023 U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers will only take place on 10-18 September. A total of 30 players have attended the training camp (TC) which was held in Jakarta.

The coach wants to get the best players when competing in the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers.

"Right now, I haven't seen the overall performance of the players. At the end of July, it may be possible to determine which players will be chosen," said Shin Tae Yong, quoted from a video on PSSI's Youtube account.

"Actually, I can't comment on many things because the players are also young. But, what is certain is that they have to be strong step by step and of course they can adjust to what I want," he added.

Prior to qualifying for the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup, this squad is also prepared to appear in the 2022 U-20 AFF Cup. In this event, Indonesia, which is the host, is part of Group A.

So far, the U-19 Indonesian National Team has also played two test matches against two Liga 1 youth teams. First, the U-19 national team got a draw against Persija Jakarta, then in the second match against Bhayangkara FC they actually lost.
