Tariq Modanggu Officially Serves As Regent Of North Gorontalo To Replace The Late Indra Yasin
GORONTALO - Acting (Pj) Governor of Gorontalo Hamka Hendra Noer officially inaugurated Tariq Modanggu as Regent of North Gorontalo for the remainder of the 2018-2023 term in the Gorontalo Governor's Office Hall, Monday, 27 June.
Before being sworn in as the definitive Regent, Tariq Modanggu was honorably dismissed as Deputy Regent of North Gorontalo through the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 131.75-1343 of 2022.
Tariq served as Regent of North Gorontalo replacing Indra Yasin who died on March 3, 2022.
"By carrying out the mandate that has been given, hopefully the results can have a positive impact on the progress and welfare of the people of North Gorontalo Regency, which we both love," said Hamka as quoted by Antara.
He advised Tariq to build cooperation with all stakeholders in North Gorontalo, build good relations, and involve all components of society.
According to him, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all sectors, so strong efforts are needed to revive economic enthusiasm in North Gorontalo.
"All relevant agencies must immediately take concrete steps in the context of economic recovery so that the impact of the pandemic can be handled properly as soon as possible," he said.
Tariq Modanggu becomes the third Regent of North Gorontalo, after Rusli Habibie and Indra Yasin and assumes the mandate as regent until December 6, 2023.
