Already Double Locked By The Owner, 2 Motorcycles At Kosan Matraman Still Lost

JAKARTA - As many as four gangs of specialist motorcycle thieves managed to get away with two motorbikes belonging to residents in a boarding house on Jalan Galur Sari 1, Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, East Jakarta. Even though the owner has double locked his vehicle to make it safer.

Based on CCTV footage at the victim's house, the perpetrator did not act more than 5 minutes.

Desty, one of the victims, a boarding house resident, said that based on the results of checking CCTV footage of the actions of the perpetrators acting at 05.15 WIB.

However, Desty and one other victim only realized that his motorbike had disappeared at 08.00 WIB.

"At around 08.00 WIB, we found out that our motorbikes had disappeared. We checked the CCTV and it was taken. It turned out that the incident happened at around 05.15 WIB in the morning. Two motorbikes were missing," Desty told reporters, Monday, June 27.

Furthermore, Desty explained, there were four perpetrators. Two perpetrators entered the parking lot to steal a motorbike.

Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators waited on their respective motorbikes. They monitor the situation on the side of the road so that their actions are not caught by the residents.

"The perpetrators were four people. Two people came in here to collect them, one person guarded the left (road), another person on the right (road)," he said.

Desty said, it is suspected that the perpetrator used the letter T key to break into the ignition of the motorbike. After about 5 minutes of action, the perpetrator managed to steal two motorbikes and then ran away.

"The position is still sleeping, so I don't know. My motorbike was also double locked before," he said. Meanwhile, according to Desty, local residents had seen the action of a group of motorbike thieves. But they did not realize that it was the perpetrator of the motorcycle theft.

"So in front of the (kosan) there is a drink vendor, but when he saw it he didn't understand that it was a thief, right. Maybe he thought it was someone here," he said.

Desty has reported the motorcycle theft that happened to him to the Matraman Police. The victim hopes that the perpetrator of the theft of the motorbike will be caught soon and the motorbike can be returned again.
