Hotter! Yenny Wahid: It's Been 18 Years Since Cak Imin Has Led The PKB. His Power Is Absolute, The Party Is No Longer Healthy!
JAKARTA - The daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur, Yenny Wahid, quipped that the lack of regeneration at the top of the leadership within the PKB for a dozen years made the party with the symbol of the earth and the stars unhealthy.
Yenny assessed that PKB is currently being carried out with absolute power because it has been under the rule of Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin for 18 years.
"It's been 18 years [Cak Imin], leading the party so yes, his power is absolute, so this is not something healthy anymore, but it's not healthy anymore!" Yenny told reporters at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Sunday, June 26.
Yenny said that this power had knocked down many senior PKB politicians. Even the cadres who were instrumental in building the PKB from the Gus Dur era were also affected.
"Senior PKB figures who used to accompany Gusdur, even became Cak Imin's own friends, were expelled from the party. This is like PKB being locked from within, all senior cadres are not included," Yenny said.
The woman whose real name is Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh said that this leadership style made many PKB figures uncomfortable.
Yenny then named two of them, namely Ali Masykur Musa, who had served as the General Chair of the PKB during the Gus Dur era, and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD, who was predicted to be promoted by PKB in the 2014 presidential election.
"All the figures, Mr. Mahfud MD, Mr. Ali Masykur, are a lot of figures, some of whom even migrated to other parties, but their hearts are still in the PKB, but they are locked from within," said Yenny.
Furthermore, Yenny admitted that she did not have any problems with people within PKB. However, he stressed his doubts about PKB's current leadership style.
"I have a problem with the current PKB leadership, if the others are not a problem, the others are followers, there is no problem," he said.
