Alhamdulillah! 1959 Hajj Candidates From NTB Arrive In The Holy Land
JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok International Airport recorded that 1,959 prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) arrived in the Holy Land after departing via the Lombok Embarkation to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
"Of the six flying groups (Kloters) of JCH, five groups from NTB have arrived in Mecca," said Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I, Lombok International Airport, Arif Haryanto, quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 26.
Based on the departure schedule, the first batch of 389 people from Mataram City departed on June 20, 2022.
The second batch of 394 people from West Lombok Regency departed on June 21 and the third batch of 391 hajj candidates from East Lombok, North Lombok, and Dompu departed on June 23, 2022.
Furthermore, the fourth batch of 392 hajj candidates from Sumbawa Regency, Bima Regency and Bima City departed on June 24, 2022, and the fifth batch of 393 hajj candidates from Central Lombok, East Lombok, West Lombok, Mataram City departed on 25 June 2022.
"A total of 1,595 JCH from NTB who have arrived in Mecca," he said.
Previously, the departure of 2,074 JCH from NTB was divided into six groups and the departure schedule started from 20-27 June 2022. Meanwhile, the return of the pilgrims was scheduled for 1 to 8 August 2022.
"All Lombok Embarkation Hajj flights are served by Garuda Indonesia," he said.
PT Angkasa Pura I as the manager of Lombok Airport has prepared human resources and airport facilities to support the smooth running of hajj flights 1443 H/2022. Among them by placing airport security personnel and supporting equipment to check the safety of passengers and their luggage at the Lombok Hajj Dormitory, Mataram.
"Meanwhile, in terms of infrastructure, Lombok Airport is ready to serve hajj transport aircraft of the Boeing 777-300ER type, which is the largest passenger aircraft that will land and fly from Lombok Airport for the first time," he said.
Lombok Airport has also coordinated with relevant stakeholders such as Airport Authority Region IV, Ministry of Religion, Indonesian Air Force, Perum LPPNPI, Immigration Office, Customs Office, Port Health Office, Garuda Indonesia, Gapura Angkasa, Perum Damri, and other parties to ensure operational Hajj this time.
"We have also prepared anticipatory scenarios in case of an emergency, flight delays, or if there are pilgrims who experience problems, so they cannot be dispatched. We hope that this year's Hajj flight operations will run well and smoothly," he said.
