The Witch: Part 2. The Other One Films 2 Million Viewers In South Korea
JAKARTA - The sequel to The Witch, entitled Part 2. The Other One, has reached a new record. The Korean Film Council noted that the latest film The Witch received 2 million viewers per day today, Saturday, June 25.
This number is considered high considering The Witch: Part 2. The Other One has only been released for 11 days. Plus, the film comes five years after the first part hit theaters.
The Witch: Part 2. The Other One is the third original film to reach millions of viewers. Previously there was The Roundup with 11 million and Broker with 1.1 million.
Different from the previous film, The Witch: Part 2. The Other One has a plot with a different character focus.
The story focuses on a woman (Shin Si Ah) escaping from a laboratory called Ark. Kyung Hee (Park Eun Bin) and Dae Gil (Sung Yoo Bin) find her whereabouts and they become friends.
Unwittingly, this woman is sought after by several people with different motives. These people also threaten Kyung Hee and Dae Gil's lives.
Shin Si Ah was chosen as the main character after an audition beating 1,408 people. This project was also chosen by Lee Jong Suk after completing his military service in 2929.
Kim Da Mi as the witch in the first part also makes a special appearance in this film. In addition, this film is still directed by Park Hoon Jung, directed by Kim Young Ho, with cinematographer Kim Young Ho.
The Witch: Part 2. The Other One will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting June 29, 2022.
