Mud In Cisadane Increases, PDAM Tangerang Prepares Tank Trucks To Help With Clean Water Distribution
JAKARTA - PDAM Tirta Benteng, Tangerang City, Banten, has prepared a water tank truck to supply water to the community. This is because PDAM water is cloudy due to the impact of raw water in Cisadane River being polluted by landslide deposits from Bogor.
"Since last night, we have helped with the distribution of clean water by deploying 10 tanker trucks. Apart from PDAM, there are also six tanker trucks belonging to the city government," said PDAM TB Sumarya President Director in Tangerang, Friday, June 24, quoted from Antara.
Sumarya estimates that this afternoon, clean water services will return to normal.
"The distribution of clean water at the farthest point may flow this afternoon," he said.
Clean water services from PDAM Tirta Benteng (TB) for distribution have reached 95 percent.
"The processing has returned to normal, for distribution it has reached 95 percent. The turbidity level has reached 200 NTU," he said.
For information, since Thursday (23/6) PDAM TB service has experienced problems due to high levels of mud in the Cisadane River. The high levels of mud were caused by floods and landslides that occurred in the Bogor area.
According to Sumarya, the disruption to clean water services was due to the very high turbidity of raw water in Cisadane. According to PDAM data, raw water turbidity reaches 25,000 NTU, while water treatment is only able to treat water below 1,000 NTU.
Sumarya conveyed that the temporary cessation of clean water supply to customers began at 15.00 WIB. For this reason, his party apologized to customers and hoped that conditions would return to normal so that the supply of clean water to customers could be smooth.
