The Mystery Of The Cause Of Death Of Mr X Floating In The Bengawan Madiun River, Allegedly Has Been Dead For 3 Days

JAKARTA - Police are still investigating the cause and identity of a man whose body was found floating on the west bank of the Bengawan Madiun River, near the Bantaran Traffic Park.

The Head of the Madiun City BPBD, Jariyanto in Madiun, admitted that he could not find the identity of the body, which was found in a prone position with the condition of the body starting to blister.

"The identity of the body that was found is not yet known. His death is still due to what the police are still investigating," said Jariyanto, Friday, June 24, quoted from Antara.

The body was found by residents who were doing activities around the Bengawan Madiun River on Thursday (23/6) morning. Residents then reported to the officers for follow-up.

Receiving reports from the public, eight BPBD officers came to the location of the findings to evacuate the bodies. BPBD officers were also assisted by officers from PMI when evacuating the body.

Then, officers took the body to the mortuary of Dr. Soedono Madiun Hospital for further examination.

Jariyanto added that the body was estimated to have died two to three days ago. This can be seen from the condition of Mr. X's body which is already blistered.

"Judging from the condition of the body, it is estimated that he had died for more than a day. Later, let the police officers explain, of course, after the examination," he said.

For further handling, Madiun City BPBD officers coordinated with local police officers to reveal the identity of the victim and the cause of death.
