Surabaya City Government Assists Youth With Disabilities Who Become Victims Of Sexual Violence In Tambaksari
JAKARTA - The Surabaya City Government, East Java provides assistance and assistance to deaf youth with disabilities who experience sexual violence in the Tambaksari area.
The head of the Surabaya City Social Service (Dinsos) Anna Fajriatin explained that the case that happened to the disabled teenager had been reported to the Surabaya Police. Meanwhile, the suspect is on the run.
"Polrestabes will send a letter to the Social Service to make a psychosocial report. This will also help us to apply for direct assistance to the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Anna, Friday, June 24, quoted from Antara.
The direct assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs is in the form of an assistance program for the Social Worker Service Unit (Sakti Peksos). The Ministry of Social Affairs will be in charge of implementing the Child Social Welfare Program (PKSA).
"Sakti Peksos will get a Decree (SK) from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, which is also recognized as valid by the Police. Namely to provide assistance, both at the court and prosecutor's level," he said.
However, he admitted that the Social Services Office of Surabaya would always be open to providing assistance through skills training at the UPTD for the Environmental Pondok Social (Liponsos) Kalijudan City of Surabaya. According to him, while waiting for the education package to follow, victims can also learn skills with the disability community.
"In addition to providing hearing aids and psychologically the victim has recovered, we are very open if the victim wants to join in for training. Such as painting or batik," said Anna Fajriaitin.
The head of the Surabaya City PKK TP, Rini Indriyani, added that currently the mentoring process has begun. It's just that, he continued, his party was processing the data transfer of the victim's population administration (adminduk) which was different from the mother.
"Her mother has a Surabaya ID card, but the victim is a Jember ID card. Even though he has lived in Surabaya since childhood. We are currently processing administrative data transfers,” said Rini.
Psychological assistance for trauma recovery will continue to be carried out, until the victim is free from trauma. He also asked his staff to send transportation accommodations to make it easier for victims to go to the location of psychological assistance belonging to the Surabaya City Government.
"Psychologically, we don't know the trauma experienced, so assistance is carried out at the facilities belonging to the Surabaya City Government to make the victim comfortable, while still being accompanied by the family," said Rini Indriyani.
