Wow, BPH Migas Finds Official Car Filled With Subsidized Fuel

JAKARTA - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) found a state-owned official car filling subsidized fuel oil (BBM).

Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati said the findings were based on sampling results from checking at 5,518 gas stations.

"Our surveillance findings are in the form of filling into cars whose tanks have been modified, some of which we often meet and also filling up official cars of the state red plate. That's not allowed," said Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI, Thursday June 23.

Erika added that the violation was then followed up with administrative sanctions and recommended operational sanctions to PT Pertamina (Persero) for gas stations that violated it.

Operational sanctions given to gas stations depend on the level of error, ranging from warning letters, reducing quotas, to closing gas stations.

"There are several cases that we continue to investigate the PPNS level and we also report to law enforcement officials (APH), such as repeated fillings which indicate fuel stockpiling," he said.

Erika said that until May 2022, 257,455 liters of fuel oil (BBM) have been recorded.

This amount is an accumulation of fraud from the three provinces where the highest fraud practices are located, namely East Java, West Java, and Jambi.

"This amount represents the volume of evidence that meets the criminal elements of articles 54 and 55 of Law no. 22 of 2001 on Oil and Gas. Not all of them do meet the criminal element, some are suspected but do not meet the criminal element and 26,000 are found," added Erika.

He detailed that from these deviations there were several types of deviations, namely in the form of deviations from subsidized diesel fuel of 176,783 liters, 49,422 liters of mixed fuel, 3925 liters of subsidized kerosene, sales without a license for Ron 90 fuel of 875 liters, and misuse of non-subsidized diesel fuel. does not meet the criminal element of 26,000 liters.

Erika added, BPH Migas is active in carrying out routine field monitoring efforts by the BPH Migas Team by cooperating with the TNI, BIN and Ditintelkam Polri.
