Hearn: Anyone With A Brain Knows Canelo Vs Golovkin Make More Money Than Spence Vs Crawford

JAKARTA - Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn says the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin is 10 times bigger in terms of revenue than the Spence vs Crawford fight.

Hearn was the promoter of the fight between the Mexican and Kazakh boxers and his comments have sparked the ire of other boxing promoters.

"If you talk about the revenue generated in the fight, it's like, God knows, it's like 10 times bigger [for Canelo-Golovkin than Spence-Crawford], but Spence-Crawford is a brilliant fight and I think it's up there with Canelo-GGG, of course," the promoter told IFL TV.

Hearn continued to brag about how he promoted the bigger fight of the two.

"Canelo vs GGG is a long way off, and, by the way, Spence-Crawford is a big fight, a big fight for boxing, but anyone with a brain knows the answer to that question," he said.

The trilogy fight between Saul Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will take place on September 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Meanwhile, the fight between Terrence Crowford and Errol Spence Jr. aims to be one of the most important events of 2022.

Not only because the two American boxers exposed their unbeaten record, but also because one of them would eventually proclaim himself the 'king' of the welterweight division.
