Susi Air Falls 5 Km Towards The Final Destination, The Weather Is Sunny
JAKARTA - Airnav Indonesia explained how a Susi Air plane on the Timika (Moses Kilangin) - Duma (Airstrip) route had an accident on Thursday, June 23.
"Based on further information, it was conveyed that it was found in a crash condition about 3 NM (5 KM) from the Duma," said Corporate Secretary of AirNav Indonesia, Rosedi in a written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday. June 23 quoted from Antara.
Rosedi explained that the Susi Air plane with registration PK-BVM type Pilatus Porter PC-6 took off from Timika at 05.32 WIT with departure service by AirNav Timika Sub-Branch, and is expected to arrive in Duma at 05.49 WIT.
The departure of the pioneering subsidized flight carrying six passengers proceeded normally with sunny weather conditions.
AirNav then received information from Susi Air that the PK-BVM had an accident.
From this information, it was immediately followed up with the determination of emergency conditions and intense coordination with the Timika Basarnas, Timika Air Force Base, and other flights operating around the PK-BVM flight route.
Airnav Indonesia said that all passengers were safe.
"Thanks to good collaboration from all parties, the entire crew and passengers of the PK-BVM aircraft were found safe and have been evacuated to the Timika hospital," he said.
