The Attorney General's Efforts To Reveal The Jiwasraya Case
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office continues to collect evidence to reveal the PT Asuransi Jiwasraya policy default case. One of the efforts is to find evidence through electronic cloning of the confiscated results of the suspects.
"We are currently tracing existing electronic evidence. So we are cloning, the Attorney General said at the Commission III meeting, we are also cloning IT-IT in the place we are conducting searches," said Jampidsus Adi Toegarisman at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, January 16.
The AGO, said Adi, will not stop at this point. According to him, it is possible that his party will also conduct searches to the places that have been mapped.
"If asked whether there is still a search, I will say that all legal steps to resolve this case will still be carried out when a search is needed in one place," he explained.
Regarding the possibility of Jiwasraya's investment manager becoming a suspect, Adi emphasized that the Attorney General's Office was not careless in determining someone as a suspect. Because according to him, apart from needing a study, there must also be legal facts.
"To determine a person as a suspect, of course we need a study, it needs a sharp analysis based on the legal facts that we have. If asked, the possibilities are always there. But I can't rush to say that A, B is a suspect. Because the stages are quite long. and we are afraid to make the mistake of determining the suspect, "he said.
Last night, the Attorney General's Office ransacked the houses belonging to the suspects in the alleged corruption case of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya, namely Hendrisman Rahim and Hary Prasetyo. During the search, investigators confiscated a number of documents and vehicles.
Until now, there have been five people who have been named as suspects by the Attorney General's Office. They were detained in different places. The goal is not to influence each other.
Hendrisman at the Pomdam Jaya Prison, Syahmirwan at the Cipinang Detention Center, Heru Hidayat at the Salemba Detention Center at the AGO Branch, Benny Tjokro at the KPK Detention Center, and Harry at the Salemba Detention Center at the South Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office.
"The detention of the five suspects for the next 20 days. We continue to collect evidence to complete the case files," he explained.
However, Adi did not explain the role of each suspect. The five suspects were suspected of Article 2 Primary and Subsidiary Article 3 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 as well as from all evidence.
