M Lutfi Has Been Examined For 12 Hours Marathon But Could Be Called Again By The AGO
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) stated that all the answers given by the former Minister of Trade (Mendag) Muhammad Lutfi during the examination process as a witness were adequate.
Lutfi was investigated for 12 hours over the alleged corruption case in granting crude palm oil (CPO) export facilities.
"From the many questions, in fact, it seems that it is sufficient," said the Director of Investigations at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the AGO, Supardi, to reporters, Wednesday, June 22, evening.
During the examination, Lutfi answered 15 questions that were posed by investigators. Some of them relate to the background and implementation of regulations regarding the highest retail price (HET), export provisions, and the issuance of export approvals (PE).
The next step, said Supardi, is that the investigative team will explore all the information that has been submitted by Lutfi. However, if later the information is deemed insufficient, it is possible that the former Trade Minister will be summoned again for additional examination.
"Later, if there is new progress, yes, of course, if it is necessary to summon it, it will be called. But this is sufficient for the time being," said Supardi.
On the previous occasion, Lutfi also stated that he had answered all the questions posed by investigators according to what was known.
"Everything asked, I answered truthfully," said Lutfi
Meanwhile, Muhammad Lutfi was examined as a witness in the alleged corruption case of crude palm oil (CPO), on Wednesday, June 22. The inspection process takes approximately 12 hours.
Lutfi's examination is suspected to be the aftermath of the determination of the suspect against Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana. Because, he had served as the Director General (Dirjen) of Foreign Trade (Daglu) of the Ministry of Trade.
Apart from Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana, the AGO has also named four other suspects who are private parties.
They are the Senior Manager of Corporate affairs of Permata Hijau Group with the initials SMA (Stanley MA); The President Commissioner of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia with the initials MPT (Master Parulian Tumanggor); and the General Manager of PT Musim Mas with the initials PT (Pierre Togar).
Recently, the AGO also named Lin Che Wei as a private person as a suspect.
