Denying The Issue Of Tilted Death Of The Boven Digoel Regent
JAKARTA - The death of the Regent of Boven Digoel, Papua, Benediktus Tambonop, three days ago, had raised a lopsided issue. One of them, because of the information on the whereabouts of women when she died.
The woman is said to be in the same room as Tambonop before dying. From this news, it was suspected that he died due to the influence of strong drugs. The woman is also suspected of being a comfort woman.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus explained, from the reports received, there was no woman in the hotel room who was stopped by the politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). When found dead, the police found only a few personal items.
"There are no women, only a few personal items," Yusri told VOI when contacted, Thursday, January 16.
The personal item in question is a bottle of herbal medicine which is useful for maintaining heart health. Tambonop is known to have a history of heart disease. Apart from the herbal medicine, a suitcase was also found which contained Rp100 million in cash.
"There was indeed Rp100 million in Rp50 thousand denominations. But there were no women in the room," said Yusri.
From the results of the examination, the police concluded that Tambonop's death was due to a heart attack.
Before he died, he also had time to visit one of the entertainment venues to play billiards with some of his male friends.
"I did have time to play billiards but not for long and went straight to the hotel," said Yusri.
Tambonop's presence in Jakarta to attend the National Working Meeting of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Sunday, January 12.
