OJK Records KUR Distribution In Southeast Sulawesi Reaches IDR 310 Billion As Of March 2022

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded that the distribution of people's business credit (KUR) funds in Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) reached Rp310 billion as of March 2021.

"For KUR for all regencies in Southeast Sulawesi, we see an increasing trend, from February 2022 of Rp. 275 billion to Rp. 310 billion in March 2022," said Head of Supervision of the Southeast Sulawesi OJK Financial Services Institution, Maulana Yusuf, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 22.

He said, in terms of the number of debtors in 17 regencies/cities in Southeast Sulawesi in February 2022, there were 7,528 customers, an increase to 8,732 in March 2022.

According to him, this increase is in line with improving control and sloping cases of COVID-19 in the Southeast Sulawesi region.

"With the pandemic conditions that are increasingly sloping, community mobility is also increasingly crowded, meaning that economic activity is also increasing so that the community's need for access to KUR capital also increases," he said.

He detailed that the largest KUR distribution in Southeast Sulawesi until March 2022 was in Muna Regency reaching IDR 45 billion with 1,568 debtors, the second Kendari City IDR 40 billion with 767 debtors, the three Kolaka Regency IDR 38 billion with 1,143 debtors, the four Konawe Regency IDR 37 billion with 1,048 debtors.

Furthermore, the realization of the fifth largest distribution of KUR funds in Buton Regency reached Rp. 32 billion with 1,078 debtors, followed by South Konawe Regency of Rp. 31 billion with 868 debtors and followed by other regencies/cities.

Maulana also said that in general the performance of the financial services industry until April 2022 grew positively in the midst of an increasingly controlled pandemic, which was reflected in banking assets growing by 9.73 percent, or Rp. 41.18 trillion.

In addition, credit and the number of bank restructuring debtors due to COVID-19 as of April 2022 continued to move downwards with a sloping trend compared to the previous month.

The credit restructuring process for debtors affected by COVID-19 until April 2022 from banks and finance companies in Southeast Sulawesi was 75,320 debtors with a total debit of Rp.4.65 trillion.
