Involved In Murder Of 2 Women At Nightclub, Fisherman In Sukabumi Shot In Right Calf While Arrested
SUKABUMI - A member of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sukabumi Police, West Java, shot a fisherman suspected of killing two women at a nightlife cafe on Ujunggenteng Beach, Kalapacondong Village, for not being cooperative when he was about to be arrested.
"We have to take decisive action against the suspect with the initials SS (51) by shooting him in the right calf because when he was about to be arrested he tried to run away or was uncooperative," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Dedy Dharmawansyah in Sukabumi, Antara, Wednesday, June 22.
The suspect who killed two women with the initials AD and AS on Sunday, June 19 in Ciracap District, was arrested in one of the huts at the Fish Auction Place (TPI) Palabuhanratu, Palabuhanratu District, Sukabumi Regency.
When arrested, the suspect initially evaded and did not admit that he was the alleged perpetrator of the murder. In fact, the SS's actions were so uncooperative that they were 'rewarded' with hot lead in his right calf.
After further examination, he explained, this middle-aged man admitted to killing AD and AS. AD is his date, while AS is the owner of a nightlife cafe.
"From the suspect's hands, we confiscated a knife that was used to kill the two victims. Until now, SS is still under investigation regarding the case that ensnared him," he added.
Dedy said that SS claimed to have killed AD by stabbing a knife into the victim's back, while AS died after being stabbed in the stomach and drowned in the sea.
When it was found the condition of AD's body was on the beach and the US's body was found by fishermen floating in the sea.
Suspect SS will be charged with Article 338 subsidiary 351 and/or 365 of the Criminal Code on Murder with the threat of imprisonment for 15 years.
