Confession Of James Bond Producer Who Has Not Seeked A Substitute For Daniel Craig

JAKARTA - Towards Daniel Craig's last appearance as James Bond in No Time to Die, Barbara Brocolli and Michael G. Wilson revealed that they had not yet looked for a replacement for the actor born in 1968.

In an interview with Variety reported by NME, Thursday, January 16, the two producers shared the depth of the future of the British spy film series.

Wilson says the next actor to play Bond could look a little different from the current version of Craig.

"You think of it as being from England or the Commonwealth," said the producer, "but England is a very diverse place."

In terms of Bond's gender, Broccoli shuts down all speculation about a female version in the near future. "He can be any color (skin), but he's a boy," she said. "I believe we have to create new characters for strong female characters."

"I'm not really interested in removing a male character and having a girl play it," added Broccoli. "I think women are much more attractive than that."

No Time To Die will be released in UK theaters on April 2, 2020.
