One Week As Trade Minister, Zulkifli Hasan Returns To Inspect The Market: Cooking Oil Prices Are Stable At Rp. 14,000 Per Liter

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) on a number of sellers of cooking oil in the market. The goal is to ensure the price is at Rp. 14 thousand per liter and without queues.

This inspection coincided with the first seven days (a week) of Zulkifli Hasan being the trade minister after being sworn in on June 15.

"Alhamdulillah, we have seen earlier in Jakarta, where the price of oil is stable at Rp. 14,000. And I have checked, already monitoring, there are no queues," said the Trade Minister after visiting the East Jakarta Klender Market, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 22.

The Minister of Trade visited three shops selling government program cooking oil for Rp. 14,000 per liter in the Klender area of East Jakarta, namely Toko Cahaya which is located in a residential area in Klender, Nadia Store which is located on Jalan Bekasi Timur Raya, and Zulkifli Store which is located in Klender Market. .

During his visit, the Trade Minister checked the stock availability at safe traders to distribute to the public. In addition, the Minister of Trade, who is familiarly called Zulhas, also ensured that the selling price remained at Rp. 14,000 per liter or Rp. 15,000 per kg.

"The availability is there, the goods are there, even more. At a price of Rp. 14 thousand per liter," said Zulhas.

Trade Minister Zulhas said the public's interest was very high in buying the bulk oil program at Rp. 14 thousand per liter, seen from the sales proceeds at traders.

For Toko Cahaya, which is located in a residential area, cooking oil of Rp. 14 thousand per liter sold 180 liters in four days. For Nadia's shop, which is located on the side of the highway, 180 liters of cooking oil are sold in a day. Meanwhile, the Zulkifli Shop, which is located inside the Klender Market, can sell 270 liters a day.

Bulk cooking oil for Rp. 14 thousand per liter or Rp. 15 thousand per kg can be purchased at shops or food stalls with special banners. Zulhas said that currently there are 13,968 shops or food stalls selling cooking oil for Rp. 14,000 per liter in 22 provinces of Indonesia. This number will continue to grow to increase food access for all Indonesian people, he said.
