After Anies Changed The Names Of Several Streets, Jakarta Residents Will Have Troubled Files Due To Change Of Address

JAKARTA - The policy of changing the name of Jalan Budaya to the name of a Betawi figure, namely Jalan Entong Gendut in the Cililitan area, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, apparently complained about by local residents.

The reason is, with the policy of changing the name of the road, it actually burdens the residents who live on the road. Residents objected because all population administration such as KTP, KK, SIM, STNK, BPKB and various other securities must also change.

In addition, the process of changing the name of Jalan Budaya to Jalan Entong Gendut without going through deliberation with local residents.

The head of RT 04 RW 05 Cililitan, Kramat Jati, Kamal, said the problem was not because of the context of the changed street names, but the impact on managing residents' personal data files.

"KTP has changed, SIM has changed, KK has changed, STNK has changed, BPKB has changed, that will have changed and it will take time and money, of course, to take care of that," said Kamal, Wednesday, June 22.

Kamal said his residents often ask him about this. However, he could not answer that, because he was not aware of the change in the name of the street, which without his knowledge, the residents had inaugurated suddenly.

"This Jalan Budaya, there are two urban villages, Cililitan and Batu Ampar, Batu Ampar has submitted an objection, it has been signed by all residents, while Cililitan is still collecting signatures regarding this objection," he explained.

He hopes that Anies Baswedan, as the Governor of DKI Jakarta, can hear the wishes of the residents and find a solution to the problem.

"Hopefully the government can look into that area, because we don't mind the term name, but it will help with clarity and ease of management so as not to spend money and time on management," he explained.

In addition, residents do not blame the policy of inaugurating the name of the road which was carried out by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan some time ago. However, residents were disappointed because they were not consulted regarding the approval of the change of street names.

"There was no notification that it was a deliberation, so the residents consulted, at least to the RT or RW, it was the wrong person who proposed," he said.

In addition, Kamal is sure that the procedural steps taken by the board of directors to inaugurate the name of Jalan are certainly not instant.

"Therefore, the process from the proposal to DKI 1 must be long, the lurah first, the sub-district head, first, the mayor, according to the procedure, it's impossible for a day or two to take care of it, suddenly it was immediately legalized, you know, just put the street names on," he regrets.
