3 Meters Deep Subsidence, The Cianjur South Line In Cibinong District Is Cut Off

CIANJUR - The main route connecting southern Cianjur to Cianjur City, precisely on Jalan Raya Cibinong, was cut off due to a 2-meter long subsidence with a depth of 3 meters.

The Head of Cibinong Police, Iptu Dedi Suryaman, said that the lane was prone to collapse when vehicles passed, so the police implemented an open and close system and prohibited large vehicles from passing.

"The collapse of the main road connecting the sub-districts belonging to the province, due to the road foundation with culverts at the bottom being carried away by water currents due to heavy rains with an intensity of more than two hours," he said in Cianjur, quoted from Antara.

As a result, only a part of the road runway can still be passed by mini buses or motorbikes, while large vehicles such as trucks and elves cannot temporarily pass, so the flow of vehicles is diverted to alternative routes.

To regulate traffic flow so that there are no queues from Tuesday morning to evening, his party together with joint officers carried out flow engineering by applying a one-lane system in turn because this route is the main economic route for southern residents.

"We are alerting members and volunteers to regulate traffic flow, especially at night because many vehicles transporting agricultural produce pass. For the time being, large vehicles are directed to the alternative route Cibinong through Sukanagara or to the Naringgul-Bandung route," he said.

Currently, his party has coordinated with PU Binamarga, West Java Province, to immediately take action quickly, but is hampered by the handling being carried out on the Tanggeung segment which collapsed a few days ago.

Previously, the main Cianjur route to the south or vice versa, was temporarily closed because the main road in Tanggeung sub-district collapsed for 50 meters and left only a few meters of runway belonging to the province. The related department at PU Binamarga, West Java Province, is carrying out the handling with a target of completion in two weeks.
