Get A Birthday Surprise From Megawati, Jokowi: I've Never Birthday Celebrated

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri gave a surprise to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), whose 61st birthday today, Tuesday, June 21.

This moment occurred when Jokowi was present at the PDIP II National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta. After Megawati delivered her remarks, two cones were brought into the room.

While the cone was brought in, one of the PDIP cadres, Krisdayanti, sang the Happy Birthday song popularized by Jamrud.

Furthermore, Jokowi went on stage with the Chairman of the DPR RI Puan Maharani and the Head of PDIP DPP Situation Analysis and Control Muhammad Prananda.

On the stage, Megawati, who had been waiting for Jokowi, seemed to have a little chat. Meanwhile, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta occasionally smiled from behind his brown mask.

Then, Jokowi cut and gave the first piece of cone to Megawati. Next, Megawati also did the same thing.

When giving a speech, Jokowi said that this was the first time he was given a surprise. Because, all this time he admitted that he never celebrated his birthday.

"I want to say thank you, I have never celebrated a birthday like this in my life," said Jokowi, which was greeted with applause from the PDIP National Working Meeting participants.

"But we also know that today is Bung Karno's haul, June 21. Thank you, Mrs. Mega, for the tumpengan we just made," he added.

As previously reported, President Joko Widodo (PDIP) is scheduled to give a speech at the PDIP National Working Meeting II today, Tuesday, June 21.

The National Working Meeting held the theme "Strong Village, Advanced and Sovereign Indonesia" with the sub-theme "Taman Sari Village, Progress of the Archipelago".
