PDIP will hold a National Working Meeting at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta for three days from today, Monday, June 21 to Thursday, June 23. The PDIP National Working Meeting will be opened by General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

The National Working Meeting carries the theme 'Strong Village, Advanced and Sovereign Indonesia'. "This National Working Meeting is actually backwards from the previous schedule that should have been held last year," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in a written statement.

"The implementation of the National Working Meeting has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia and the world, and is awaiting the approval of the General Election Commission (KPU) stage," he added.

Hasto said the implementation of the National Working Meeting uses a hybrid method. "So representatives of the main management who are present in Jakarta, only the chairman, secretary and treasurer of the party DPD, while other regional administrators at every level, can follow online at the opening and closing of the National Working Meeting," he said.

In this meeting, continued Hasto, a number of things were discussed. One of them is related to the party's strategy going forward.

"Most of the events are closed, considering that what is discussed is strategic matters related to the future of the nation," he said.

"Thus, a quiet and contemplative atmosphere is needed. The place is deliberately chosen at the party school because it is only through party regeneration that the candidate for leader is trained before being assigned to the field," added Hasto.
