'Bungkus Night Vol.2' Covert Prostitution In Social Media, Has Been Running Successfully
JAKARTA - The police are still investigating the practice of prostitution at the event 'Bungkus Night Vol. 2' which was held at one of the massage centers under the guise of health in the Ruko Grand Wijaya complex, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit, said his party would investigate 5 suspects who had important roles in the event.
Ridwan explained, based on the confessions of the suspects, the event 'Bungkus Night Vol. 2' is a continuation of the first session that was held previously, on Wednesday 30 March.
"We found that they carried out volume one. In March, yes, they did. But technically, we are still investigating the method," Ridwan told reporters on Tuesday, June 21.
Ridwan revealed that the five suspects who had been detained were people who were involved in the event 'Bungkus Night Vol. 1. Even so, he will continue to explore which parties participate.
"Most of the people we have suspected are responsible for volume one. But we are still exploring the participants," he continued.
In addition, Ridwan continued, his party had confiscated the organizer's Instagram account. The account was used as a promotional media to attract fans of the prostitution event 'Bungkus Night Vol 2'.
"Yes (confiscated). We have secured several admins from Instagram," he said.
Ridwan continued, his party will also conduct an examination of the therapists who were promoted in the 'Bungkus Night Vol. the 2'. However, it will be done gradually.
"Gradually, we will carry out further investigations (about therapists)," he said. Regarding the motive for the perpetrators to hold the 'Bungkus Night Vol 2' event, the police are still investigating.
"We are still investigating whether this is indeed a big profit or there are other things that are their modus operandi which we will investigate later," he concluded.
