Valued At Rp56 Trillion, Construction Of Indonesia's Longest Gedebade-Cilacap Toll Road Starts In The Second Quarter Of Next Year
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) has started an inventory of land for the construction of the Gedebage-Cilacap toll road. This progress is a follow-up to the issuance of the location determination (penlok) by the West Java Provincial Government.
If it goes well, the toll road construction process will be carried out by PT Jasamarga Gedebage Cilacap (JGC), as a subsidiary of Jasa Marga.
JGC President Director Johannes Mancelly explained that the regional guide which was published in February 2022 covers the Gedebage area to northern Garut. Until now, the identification and benchmarking process included in Section 1 of the Gedebage-Garut North Junction of the Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road for the Bandung City and Garut Regency areas has been completed.
"Following this, until now the progress of land needs for the City of Bandung and Garut Regency is in the inventory process. Meanwhile, for Bandung Regency, it is still in the process of issuing a decision letter to form a land acquisition team," said Jo Mancelly in his statement on Tuesday, June 21.
Jo hopes that the land acquisition process for Section 1 of the Gedebage-Garut North Junction of the Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road will run according to the target so that it is hoped that construction for Section 1 can begin in the second quarter of 2023. PT JGC is also committed to continuing to coordinate with related parties in accelerating the implementation of the construction of the Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road.
The Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road has a total length of 206.65 Km which makes this toll road the longest toll road in Indonesia that will cross two provinces at once, namely West Java Province with a length of 169.09 Km and Central Java Province with a length of 37.56 Km. This toll road is divided into four sections, namely:
- Section 1 Junction Gedebage-North Garut along 45.20 Km- Section 2 North Garut-Tasikmalaya along 50.32 Km - Section 3 Tasikmalaya-Patimuan along 76.78 Km- Section 4 Patimuan-Cilacap along 34.35 Km
The construction of the Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road is planned to be carried out in two stages. The construction for the first phase is Section 1 and Section 2, which starts from the Gedebage Junction to the Tasikmalaya Interchange (SS) along 95.52 Km. As for the second stage, namely Section 3 and Section 4, which starts from SS Tasikmalaya to SS Cilacap along 111.13 Km.
The Gedebage-Cilacap Toll Road has an investment value of IDR 56 trillion and a concession period of 40 years. This project is part of the National Strategic Project and supports government programs in infrastructure equity.
The construction of this toll road will increase connectivity, economic activities, facilitate the distribution of goods and services to the development of industry and tourism in the southern corridors of West Java and Central Java Provinces.
