West Pasaman KPU Proposes 2024 Pilkada Funds In The Amount Of IDR 61 Billion

W Sumatra - West Pasaman Regency KPU proposed a budget for the 2024 Regional Head General Election worth Rp. 61 billion.

"We submit that proposal to the West Pasaman Regency Government, but it is not certain how much it has been approved," said West Pasaman KPU chairman Alharis at Simpang Empat, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), Monday, June 20.

He said that if the proposed Regional Head General Election budget was approved, there would be an increase in the 2020 Regional Head Election budget, which was worth Rp. 25.4 billion.

According to him, the increase in the budget requirement for the 2024 Pilkada was triggered by a number of factors that influenced it.

In addition to the increase in the honorarium for ad hock agency organizers, there is also the possibility that there will be additional polling stations (TPS) and the possibility of more than one individual candidate pair.

"Especially for the individual candidate stage, it was done first. We estimate a maximum of five pairs of individual candidates, so we need a large budget. Just as an anticipation," he said.

Although the budget has been proposed, his party has not been able to confirm how much the budget has been approved and there has been no discussion with the West Pasaman Regency Government.

The budget needs, he said, would certainly be adjusted to support the successful implementation of the 2024 Pilkada.

As for the implementation of the Legislative General Election, the budget is still waiting from the Central KPU. "The Legislative General Election stage has begun with the preparation of existing rules or regulations," he said.

For the continuous voter list stage, it is still running and possibly until this month.
