During May-June, Central Java Police Reveals 5 Drug Cases, Secures 101.06 Grams Of Shabu

Central Java - At least five suspects and 101.06 grams of methamphetamine and 5,024 pills were secured by the Jepara Police from the results of the case disclosure from May to June 2022.

"The five suspects have the initials AE, MA, BP, ND, and HG," said Jepara Police Chief AKBP Warsono at a press conference at the Jepara Police Headquarters, Central Java (Central Java), quoted from Antara, Monday, June 20.

Disclosure of narcotics cases, he said, started from public information, then carried out the development of investigations in the field.

The arrest with the most evidence was suspect ND (46), a resident of Ngabul, Tahunan District, Jepara. Allegedly a courier was arrested in Ngabul Village with evidence of one package of crystal methamphetamine weighing 96.24 grams wrapped in a cell phone box.

"The suspect is part of a network of dealers currently in prison," he said.

Another suspect with the initials AE (18) a resident of West Jambu, Mlonggo District, Jepara, then suspect MA (33) a resident of Tahunan Village with evidence of 0.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1.03 grams of crystal methamphetamine respectively.

For suspect BP (42) a resident of Wedelan, Bangsri District, Jepara, he said, he was arrested for allegedly being a shabu-shabu drug dealer with evidence of a package of shabu-shabu weighing 0.55 grams.

The Jepara Police Narcotics Unit also arrested suspect HG (26), a resident of Teluk Wetan, Welahan District.

HG was arrested for possessing 5,024 drugs, including the brands Yurindu, Dexstro, Calmet Alprazolam, Hexymer, Tramadol. In addition to drugs, the police also secured the transaction proceeds of Rp. 350,000 and the suspect's cellphone.

For his actions, the suspect HG was charged with Article 197 sub-Article 196 of Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health with a penalty of 15 years in prison.

The other suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (1) of Law no. 35/2009 on Narcotics with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years.
