Install PLTS Roofs In 8 Factories, Cleo Drinking Water Manufacturer Owned By Conglomerate Hermanto Tanoko Commits To Accelerate Target NZE 2060
JAKARTA - PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (CLEO) a member of the Tanobel Group owned by conglomerate Hermanto Tanoko seeks to improve the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects. One of them is the use of cleaner energy and the sustainability of the company in line with environmental conservation.
The issuer of Cleo's Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) has started to use environmentally friendly alternative energy in the form of a Rooftop Solar Power Plant (PLTS) which will be installed in 8 CLEO factories spread across Java Island.
Sariguna Deputy President Director Melisa Patricia said, the installation of PLTS Roof is one of the company's commitments in accelerating the achievement of 2060 net-zero carbon emissions.
"We see that the use of new and renewable energy (EBT) is increasingly being carried out. Therefore, CLEO targets the installation of 8 Rooftop Solar Power Plants in several factories in West Java to East Java. The initial development process is located at the Pandaan Factory, which is the largest factory. CLEO and is expected to be ready for operation this year," he said in a statement quoted on Monday, June 20.
The installation of PLTS Roof is one of the company's ideal ways in accelerating the achievement of the target of the NRE mix of 23 percent in 2025 and increasing energy efficiency which leads to a decrease in the Company's operating costs.
It is known that Rooftop PLTS is considered capable of increasing the existence of industry and business because it offers environmentally friendly alternative energy so as to create business optimization through electricity cost savings.
To date, the installation of the Sariguna Rooftop PLTS has reached 25 percent progress and is entering the inverter installation stage after the installation of the PV (Photovoltaic) module has been completed. The Rooftop PLTS has a total capacity of 4.2 MWp or 4,186.14 kWp which is connected to the PLN network through an on-grid system.
