Bayern Struggles To Beat Lokomotiv Moscow

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich must make every effort to bring home a 2-1 victory from Lokomotiv Moscow headquarters in the second match of Group A Champions League which was played at Lokomotiv Stadium, Moscow, Tuesday, October 27 local time or Wednesday morning WIB.

Launching Antara, Leon Goretzka's goal (13 ') gave Bayern the lead in the first half. Lokomotiv was then able to equalize through Anton Miranchuk's (70 ') goal, before Joshua Kimmich's goal restored Bayern's lead.

With these results, Bayern are getting stronger at the top of Group A with six points. Meanwhile, Lokomotiv is currently in third place with one point.

The host took the initiative to attack from the start. Their first chance came when Miranchuk sent in a cross which Smolov headed in, but the ball headed into the arms of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

After Lokomotiv's opportunity, Bayern appeared more aggressive. Robert Lewandowski wasted a good chance when he failed to head the ball easily.

It wasn't long before Bayern really broke the deadlock. Corentin Tolisso sent the ball to Benjamin Pavard who continued it to be met by Goretzka's header past keeper Guilherme.

Defending champions Bayern nearly doubled their lead midway through the first half. Pavard crossed again from the right, and this time the ball was followed by Kingsley Coman's volley which hit the post.

Towards halftime, replace Lokomotiv who is more active in attacking. They tried several times to exploit Bayern's high defensive line, but Neuer was always on standby to come out of the nest to clear the ball or save a shot that threatened the net.

Bayern tried to appear sharper at the start of the second half. Serge Gnabry failed to maximize his chances from the right, and Kimmich fired a shot which Slobodan Rajkovic could keep.

When Bayern were busy attacking Lokomotiv was able to equalize. From the counter-attack scheme, Ze Luis sprinted on the right side and thrust the ball to the uncontrolled Miranchuk to easily pass into the Bayern goal.

The draw score made the two teams appear more aggressive. Ze Luis had a chance for Lokomotiv as he sprinted again to send the ball to Zhemaletdinov, who fired just wide.

But Kimmich became Bayern's savior. He received the ball outside the penalty box with his back to the goal, spun, and fired a shot through the host's goal.
