The National Police Chief Will Form A Commission Team For The Code Of Ethics For PK AKBP Brotoseno

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo will form a code of ethics commission team related to the review (PK) of the results of the National Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) AKBP Raden Brotoseno.

The formation of this team is also a follow-up to the Regulation of the Indonesian National Police (Perpol) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission which has been officially promulgated.

"Mr. National Police for the establishment of a review code of ethics commission, this will be a review of the code of ethics commission," said the Head of the National Police Propam Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo to reporters, Monday, June 20.

This team will consist of Irwasum Polri, Kadiv Propam, As HR Polri, and Kadivkum Polri. However, this code of ethics commission team will only be formed after the research team finds there are things that need to be followed up by the National Police Chief.

The research process, said Sambo, took about two weeks. The research team consists of Irwasum Polri, Polri HR Bureau, Divpropam and Divkum Polri

"Now there are 14 days of research by a research team formed based on the sprint of the Chief of Police," he said.

"Then 14 days later this team will decide whether to form a review committee of the code of ethics," continued Sambo.

Previously, the National Police immediately conducted a review (PK) regarding the results of the trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) which decided not to fire AKBP Raden Brotoseno.

This effort was made after the Regulation of the Indonesian National Police (Perpol) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics was officially promulgated.

The Perpol is also contained in the State Gazette number 587, 2022 and was promulgated after being signed by the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly.

This Perpol is the result of the evaluation and amendment of the Chief of Police Regulation (Perkap) number 14 2011 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics of the Indonesian National Police and Perkap Number 19 of 2012 concerning the Organizational Structure and Work Procedure of the Commission on the Code of Ethics of the Indonesian National Police.

Article 83 states that the National Police Chief has the authority to review the KKEP decision or the KKEP Appeal decision which is final and binding.
