Jade Thirlwall Reveals Why Little Mix Didn't Disband

JAKARTA - There are countless girl groups that have to disband in the midst of their popularity, namely Fifth Harmony and Girls Aloud. When mentioning the names of girl groups outside South Korea, Little Mix is the only one that still survives.

Speaking to the December 2020 issue of Cosmopolitan UK, Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall mentioned the reasons why they have survived in the music industry.

According to him, solidarity and support for each other is the main point that Little Mix can have a career for up to a decade without controversy and trouble.

“A producer who worked early in our career once said, 'When one woman walks into a room, some people ignore it. But when a group of women comes into the room, everyone's going to look at it, '"says Thirlwall.

Little Mix members remember those words when they feel they lose their confidence.

"It's rare, for a group of girls to survive without 'killing' each other."

According to Thirlwall, another advantage Little Mix has is that they always treat each other fairly. "One minute someone thinks they are much more important, that's when things go wrong." He also said Little Mix members always support each other when there are solo projects.

Judging by what Jade Thirlwall said, most girl groups disband after having an argument or when one of the members leaves the group.

Meanwhile, Little Mix will be releasing a new album titled Confetti which will be released on November 6th.
