The Commitment Officer Of The Attorney General's Office For Building Fire Suspects Failed To Fulfill Bareskrim's Summons
JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri is scheduled to investigate the suspects at the AGO building today. But one suspect, namely, the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the Attorney General's Office (AGO) was absent from the investigation.
"One person on behalf of the suspect, brother NH, as PPK of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, cannot attend," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, to reporters, Tuesday, October 27.
The absence of NH in the examination, said Awi, was because NH admitted that he was sick. But when investigators questioned evidence in the form of a doctor's certificate, the suspect's lawyer could not show it.
Therefore, investigators in the near future will schedule a re-examination of NH. However, it was not explained when the examination would be.
"Of course we will reschedule us to recall the suspect, brother of NH," he said.
Previously, the National Police named eight suspects in the AGO building fire. Five of them are construction workers with the initials T, H, S, K, and IS. They were named suspects for violating the no smoking rule in the personnel bureau hall.
While the other three namely, UAM as the foreman, R who is the Director of PT ARM and the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the Attorney General's Office, NH.
The determination of the suspect against UAM was reasoned because they did not supervise the five craftsmen while they were working. Meanwhile, R and NH were named suspects for making an agreement to use a dash cleaner cleaning fluid which is said to accelerate the combustion process.
The suspects were charged under Article 188 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code with the threat of 5 years in prison.
