The Second Wave Of Hajj Pilgrims Starts Departing June 19
JAKARTA - The second batch of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims will depart on Sunday 19 June 2022 to the Holy Land, Saudi Arabia.
"Starting tomorrow, June 19, 2022, the departure of the second batch of pilgrims will all land at King Abdul Aziz Airport Jeddah," said spokesman for the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) Akhmad Fauzin as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 18.
He further said that the departure of the first batch of Indonesian pilgrims from the country to Medina would soon end.
"Today is the last departure of Indonesian pilgrims who entered the first batch," he said.
Simultaneously, the process of departing the second batch of pilgrims from Indonesia for the second batch of pilgrims from Indonesia to Jeddah began.
Fauzin explained, as many as 39,914 pilgrims had departed for Medina. Of this number, as many as 14,245 pilgrims who are members of 36 groups have already departed from Medina to Mecca.
This year's quota for Indonesian Hajj is 100,051 pilgrims, consisting of 92,825 quotas for regular pilgrims and 7,226 quotas for special pilgrims.
