Ganjar Pranowo Enters Exchange As NasDem Presidential Candidate, PDIP: Just Normal
JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P DPP Puan Maharani emphasized that his party was not disturbed by the appearance of the name of the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo on the NasDem Party presidential candidate (candidate) exchange.
The appearance of the name Ganjar is a common thing.
"Oh no, that's internal to every political party, each of which has its own mechanism. So it's normal," said Puan at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Saturday, June 18.
Puan said that the PDIP had not yet taken a stand regarding the 2024 Presidential Election.
The reason is, the party created by Megawati Soekarnoputri has its own mechanism in determining the candidates to be carried in the 2024 Election.
"PDI-P is in accordance with the congress' mandate that later candidates for presidential candidates are the prerogative of the general chairman," said Puan.
"So all the party cadres who will be given the mandate according to the results of the congress will become the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the PDI-P according to the mechanism. We just stick to that," added Puan.
As previously reported, the General Chair of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, announced the names of three presidential candidates who would be recommended by the National Working Meeting of the NasDem Party to be carried in the 2024 presidential election.
The three names are DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, TNI Commander Andika Perkasa, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
"These three names are the choices of the brothers chosen by the National Working Meeting. I remind you that there are no less than these three names, the value is the same in my eyes as general chairman. The order may be one, two, three, but only in order. That's my commitment at this Rakernas So I will read out the recommendations for the 2024 presidential candidates," said Surya Paloh at the closing ceremony of the National Working Meeting of the NasDem Party at the JCC, Friday night, June 17.
Regarding this result, NasDem DPP chairman Willy Aditya said his party would immediately start talks with other parties to build a coalition.
"Next Wednesday to start talks to build a coalition," Willy said at the same place.
Willy said his party would receive a visit from one political party at the NasDem DPP Office. However, he refused to name the party.
"There will be parties that come to the NasDem party. Just one first, you just wait at Gondangdia (DPP NasDem). We are of course very open to political communication. NasDem does not have a handicap in establishing communication," he said.
