'Governor Counting Ahok', Fahrurrozi Dies Positive Of COVID-19
JAKARTA - The leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), KH Fahrurrozi Ishaq, died at the Primary Hospital in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Tuesday, October 27 at 01.15 WIB.
The deceased, known as the 'Counter-Governor' Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok, was confirmed positive for COVID-19.
"He has been examined by a PCR swab at the National Police Hospital with a positive result for COVID-19," said Head of the Medical Services and Care Division of the National Police Hospital, Kombes Yayok Witarto in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 27.
According to Yoyok, the late Fahrurrozi underwent intensive care from the Police Hospital medical team, including undergoing a swab test.
"He was treated at the Police Hospital and recommended in the special VVIP room for COVID-19, but he did not want to," he said.
Police Hospital officers also referred the deceased to Primary Hospital Jatinegara, but his life was not saved.
The body was buried on Jalan Cenghay, Masjid Al Anwar RT 4/4 Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
The body of KH Fahrurrozi was buried at the Kober Public Cemetery (TPU), Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
Fahrurrozi is known as a charismatic scholar from Betawi who has also declared himself a rival governor for Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok.
The sad news was confirmed by the Deputy Secretary General of PA 212 Novel Bamukmin who said that his organization, namely FPI and other Islamic mass organizations, were grieving.
