KSPI Labor President Said Iqbal Supports IKN: This Is A Legend From President Jokowi
JAKARTA - The President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) Said Iqbal said he was ready to support the smooth development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
"This is a legend from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). For that, we are ready to support smooth development," Said Iqbal said in a written statement quoted by Antara, Friday, June 17.
Said said there were around 150,000 workers working in the construction of IKN. According to him, IKN is one of the masterpieces for the Indonesian nation.
"How to develop a city that is all integrated in a smart forest city. A city that has a good concept. I often go to Europe, it feels (IKN) exceeds Europe. However, it doesn't leave the tradition of the archipelago," he said.
Said Iqbal also admitted that he was happy and hoped that IKN development would run quickly and smoothly, and appreciated the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) who also celebrated the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara at the zero kilometer point of IKN.
According to Said, this can revive Bhayangkara values so that they are embedded in IKN.
"I think this is an effective way. There is no need to say much, but the message has arrived. The value of bhayangkara that has been built so far, devotion, and service to the state as state servants is put at zero," he said.
Said Iqbal conveyed the statement in the pledge activity and stated his commitment to support and oversee the development of the Indonesian Capital City at the 0 kilometer point.
The pledge activity was attended by 51 youth elements, students, and trade unions or laborers.
Meanwhile, the Leader of GP Ansor Muhammad Abror emphasized that his party hopes that other youth and students can take over and can take this opportunity because in the future, the younger generation will lead the future of Indonesia.
"I think it is possible that we will build Indonesia from our generation from Point Zero where I stand, thank you and Happy 76th Anniversary Bhayangkara," said Abror.
The General Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Youth Center, Sunanto, also hopes that the development of this IKN will be an equitable development and fulfill the hopes of the nation's children.
"All children of the nation have the same hope and opportunity to be able to rise up and receive all the knowledge and prosperity itself. So, we must support the relocation of the capital city because it provides hope and opportunity for all of us," he said.
