BOGOR - International trainer and parachutist Naila Novaranti went to the police to report an alleged fraud worth Rp323 million when she was about to buy a car.

"I reported several parties suspected of fraud, the names of which I reported are in the report letter I made today, including proof of transfers and WhatsApp (WA) conversations," said Naila Novaranti in her statement, Antara, Friday, June 17.

Naila, who once conquered the peak of Mount Everest and the coldest continent of Antarctica by parachuting, made a report at the Tangerang City Police Station, last Thursday with the number: LP/B/916/VI/2022/SPKT/Resto Tangerang City/Polda Metro Jaya with a total loss of Rp323 .000000,

Naila revealed, the incident that occurred started from an online link from which Naila then communicated with someone through whatsapp and email conversations. Naila is also interested in buying car products in the online link. He then registered himself as a car buyer suspected of being the result of an auction.

"At first I didn't suspect that this was a scam, because when I first transferred the money for registration, the amount was 10 million rupiah with different area number, but the car I was interested in was sold, then the dp money was returned in full via reverse transfer.

However, through the same website and different people, they re-registered with the same system of Rp. 10 million to join the list. But after the next transaction is approved, I pay cash, and I pay it off with several transfers.

"But when the appointment was made, the person disappeared and couldn't be contacted. Even now, he's irresponsible, my number was blocked, and I finally reported it to the police," said Naila.

For the incident she experienced, Naila finally reported the incident to the authorities with the alleged fraud of Article 378 of the Criminal Code.
