3 Out Of 12 Villages In Ambon Will Be Audited By DPPKB Because The Stunting Rate Is Quite High

AMBON - The Department of Population Control and Family Planning (DPPKB) of Ambon City, Maluku, conducted stunting audits in 12 locations in the city.

"There are 12 locations in Ambon City that are the locations for the stunt audit. We will carry out the initial stage in three villages and sub-districts namely Kudamati, Soya and Batu Merah," said Head of Ambon City DPPKB Welly Party in Ambon, Antara, Friday, June 17.

The initial stage was carried out in three villages because based on data from all villages in Ambon, the three villages had a slightly high stunting rate.

The audit process will be carried out by a technical team consisting of the Puskesmas, the sub-district, the coordinator of the PLKB Family Planning Field Extension Officer, and several OPDs of the Ambon City Government.

After the audit stage, dissemination will be carried out by the Expert team after obtaining data on how many families are at risk of stunting, the causes and recommendations will be given to the OPD regarding the next steps for handling.

"The audit process in three villages will begin this week while the other nine villages will be carried out next semester," he said.

His party hopes that after the audit process is carried out, complete data will be obtained of children who are at risk and experiencing stunting in the city of Ambon.

"All the results of the audit and the recommendations of the Paka Team will also be reported to the central BKKBN," said Welly.

The representative of the task force team to accelerate the reduction of dwarfism in Maluku Province, Piere Fernic Engko, said that the target for reducing the stunting rate in Ambon City in December 2022 must be at 16.08 percent.
