BNNK Sidoarjo Arrests 2 Traffickers Weighing 4 Kg

SIDOARJO - The District National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) Sidoarjo, East Java arrested two perpetrators of the criminal act of abusing 4 kilograms of marijuana.

The head of the Sidoarjo BNNK, AKBP Toni Sugiyanto, said the two suspects arrested had the initials FD, a resident of Taman Pondok Jati, Geluran Village, Taman District, and RY having their address in Sukodono District, Sidoarjo.

"The modus operandi used by the suspects is conducting transactions for marijuana-type drugs through an expedition package delivery service," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 17.

The suspect FD who was arrested was given the task of directing the expedition courier before sending the package according to the address listed, namely Taman Pondok Jati Geluran to another address.

"Then, when the courier delivered the package to another address, the suspect, FD, contacted MAN (DPO, Red) to pick up the package at the address he had directed," he said.

He said that MAN then contacted the suspect, RY, who was his order to pick up the package at a predetermined place.

Suspect FD was arrested at his home, while suspect RY was secured at the hospital while receiving treatment. From the results of a search at RY's house, officers found 1 package containing 4 packs of marijuana weighing 4 kilograms.

"Currently the two suspects are undergoing examination, and will be charged with Articles 114, 111 in conjunction with 132 of RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics Abuse," he said.
