Disputed With Puan Maharani, Ganjar Pranowo: Says Who?
JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo answered the issue of estrangement with PDI-P DPP Chair Puan Maharani. He emphasized that his relationship with the chairman of the DPR RI was fine.
"Says who?" said Ganjar to reporters at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Friday, June 17.
Ganjar said there was never any turmoil between the two.
"We're at headquarters fine," he said.
The relationship between Ganjar and Puan Maharani, who are both from the PDIP, is widely reported to be on a bad note. The trigger is a number of members of the DPR RI had attacked Ganjar.
One of the members of the DPR is Trimedya Panjaitan. He was furious to see the behavior of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, who was considered ambitious in wanting to "run" in the 2024 presidential election.
The bull party politician then questioned Ganjar's performance during his tenure as Governor of Central Java. The reason is, according to Trimedya, so far Ganjar has been diligent in surfing on social media.
"What is the reward for being a governor for 8 years apart from playing on social media, what is the performance?," Trimedya told reporters, Wednesday, June 1.
In addition, Puan once mentioned that her cadres should not choose a presidential candidate only by looking at his figure. This was conveyed when giving a speech in front of the Wonogiri PDIP DPC last April.
Initially, Puan reminded the cadres to choose someone who would work together to build the nation.
"I ask that you return to your Indonesian roots. Choose people who really love Indonesia, support people who really want to work together to build this nation together," said Puan in her speech.
The reason, said Puan, is because nowadays people prefer leaders who look handsome and often appear on social media. But, once told to serve the people, he couldn't.
"Why am I saying this? Sometimes now we like 'yo wes he's just handsome, he's the only one that's chosen as long as he's not a woman, yo wes he's just not an iso opo-opo but the important thing is that he's on social media, on social media. TV is fun, but then you can't work, you're not close to the people," said the chairman of the PDIP DPP.
Puan then asked the cadres whether to choose a character with these criteria. The bull cadres were not willing to be led by such a person.
"Do you want that kind of leader or not?" asked Mrs.
"No," answered the PDIP cadres.
