TAG Heuer Announces NFT Will Be Displayed On Smart Watches, Here's The Proof!

JAKARTA – The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer, Tag Heuer, has established a partnership with the NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CLONE-X communities. The collaboration is part of an effort to bring NFT to Tag Heuer's smartwatch.

Later, the smartwatch can be connected to the MetaMask crypto wallet and Ledger Live to display BAYC. The smartwatch device will be designed in such a way that it can display NFT digital artwork.

According to reports, the company says that the functionality of the TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4 will be easy, with the NFT being transferred to it via a paired smartphone. The device is set to support static and animated NFT artwork, and some NFTs can be transferred to the watch directly.

In addition, TAG Heuer also states that the NFT artwork can be resized and placed in the three designs available inside the watch. The current capabilities of smartwatches and how to handle NFT artwork and displays are outlined in a blog post from TAG Heuer.

“Some NFTs are static images, and some are animated GIFs. The TAG Heuer watch face will support this format in sharp detail, with animations that rotate indefinitely," reads a statement from the company's official blog.

Not only that, the Tag Heuer smartwatch will also be able to be integrated into the blockchain and be able to verify the NFT owned by the wearer. TAG Heuer explains the feature saying, “A verified NFT will be displayed in a hexagon (format) with a cloud of particles moving around the image.”

This new NFT function will be available as a free update to all Tag Heuer Caliber E4 owners via the Apple App Store and Google Play.

TAG Heuer is one of the luxury goods companies that is starting to dive into the cryptoverse world. Previously, the company had teamed up with crypto payment platform BitPay to accept product purchases with BTC and eleven other cryptocurrencies.
