EBay's Cross-Border Marketplace To Start Launching Interactive Shopping Platform

JAKARTA - Cross-border marketplace eBay announced that it is launching eBay Live, which allows customers to browse products with direct interaction.

eBay Live will invite shoppers to engage as if they were in a traditional offline store. The event will kick off on June 22 at 3 p.m. ET or June 23 at 2 p.m. EDT, via the eBay app.

The first series of eBay Live will offer a selection of the most coveted sports card collections from leading seller Bleecker Trading, and will be hosted by trading card enthusiast DJ Skee.

“eBay has always been the original home for trading cards and collectibles,” said Dawn Block, VP Collectibles, Electronics and Home at eBay. “As the collector community grows, we offer a new live platform that combines an engaging environment with great convenience, enabling our community to come together for common interests and merchandise.”

Block added that currently in beta, eBay Live will provide a more streamlined, entertaining and sophisticated way for our community to connect, buy and sell.

During the live, Jess Mineo of Bleecker Trading will showcase iconic collections, including the Topps Finest Michael Jordan M1 Red Bordered Refractor PSA 9 MINT 1995 and Kobe Bryant Skybox That's Jam PSA 10 from 1998.

eBay continues to provide the best for its community. Earlier this month, eBay unveiled its vault for trading cards, covering 31,000 square feet, 24/7 security, temperature control facilities, and a digital marketplace for collectors.

eBay has also recently expanded its Authenticity Assurance service to trading cards and, last year, the company debuted Pricing and Collection Guides and Image Scans that have changed the way collectors manage their portfolios.
